Assessment and Reporting
Introduction
At Stoane Lighting we recognise the importance of carrying out rigorous environmental assessment, but also of transparently reporting our findings to our customers and to the industry. This is why we have been applying impact assessment calculations to our production since 2021.
Our responsibility
Very often our assessment service will be a part of how we guide customers in their specification decisions. It is possible that in some cases the body of work required during specification or post installation may need a substantial time commitment for which we will adjust for, perhaps where a client/end user has asked for such analysis.
Impact Assessment Options
TM65 and TM65.2 | For regular assessment of standard products we have been
applying CIBSE TM65 and CIBSE TM65.2. Gaining increasing importance in
the MEP sector as a good way to estimate the embodied carbon of products, this
methodology enables us to calculate and communicate the embodied carbon impacts
in a simple and straightforward way.
TM66 | Another assessment methodology that we apply to our entire
standard product series is CIBSE TM66 which focuses on the circular economy
aspects of lighting products.
LCA and EPD | For more detailed assessments and to be able to produce
EPDs, we apply Life Cycle Assessment, compliant with ISO 14040 and
14044, EN 15805 and Product Category Rules and Product Specific Rules endorsed by LightingEurope (PSR0014 ed.2 by PEP Ecopassport).
Assessment as a Service | We believe manufacturers have the responsibility to support
customers who want to report environmental information for their projects. This
is why we decided to offer an Assessment as a Service option, for the
dedicated quantification of environmental impacts associated with a specific
project. |
