Photometry
It has become an essential part of luminaire manufacturing to have photometric measurement equipment to measure the performance of our products and produce .ies and .ldt files for assessment. Our standard products have large databases of photometric files which can be freely downloaded and assessed.
We have on-site access to a Goniophotometer and lab conditions for measurement.
We use this equipment in the design process when assessing optical performance of optics, or the effects of luminaire housings and accessories on beam distribution. They can also use the same equipment to assess prototypes of custom or derivative products so that lighting designers can understand the optical and distribution qualities of custom products in the design phase, this is contingent on having a product to assess but it can prove very useful.
The photometric measurement equipment can be especially useful when considering remanufacturing options for a luminaire, by measuring the performance of a product with the existing technology one can make sure that the remanufactured product is equal or better than the starting point.
At present, Stoane Lighting are not members of either the Dialux or Relux manufacturer programs. We are aware that this can be inconvenient to specifiers in some circumstances but as manufacturers of bespoke equipment who want to be able to provide photometry for quick mock-ups and bespoke assessments, to some degree we acknowledge that there could be a problem regardless. Please let us know of challenges using photometry files and we will do our best to support you.
