CPDs

We have built an impressive collection of accredited CPDs covering a wide range of sustainability topics and something just becoming established in our industry: the health effects of light.

Please view the full menu below and use the form below to get in touch if you and your team would like to learn more.

This CPD explains the need for a circular economy, what a circular economy is, the background legislation and metrics including TM66, and luminaire design to circular economy principles.

In order to tackle the environmental emergency and climate crisis, we must be aware of how much we are contributing to it. Quantifying the environmental impact of luminaires is possible. In this CPD, we take a look at "through-life carbon counting" and TM65 and Life Cycle Assessment methodologies.

This CPD explores circularity in product design, modularity, why remanufacturing should be considered, how remanufacturing is made possible, and three very different examples of successful remanufacturing projects.

This CPD introduces the two main foundations for an environmentally sustainable approach to electric lighting: circularity and embodied carbon. It cover sustainability strategies that can be applied to the lighting industry, looking at circular economy principles and environmental impact quantification.

The Direct and Indirect Non-image Forming Effects of Light: Implications for the Lighting Industry

A new venture for Stoane Lighting, this CPD covers the background to our application research into the effects of light on your health; most people live and work in insufficient light and whilst awareness grows, it is still not commonly known how much this can compromise our health. A highly technical and inspiring presentation dives into "what is healthy light?", circadian disruptions and putting all our learnings to the test in a brand new product.

This CPD brings together the results of the research we designed with UCL into effects that 'good light' has on circadian entrainment, mood, alertness and sleep.
