Young V&A

  • Lighting Design: Studio ZNA
  • Lighting Design: Speirs Major
  • Photography: Luke Hayes and David Parry

With two talented and celebrated lighting design practices involved, Studio ZNA on the exhibition design and Speirs Major on the architectural design, Young V&A has successfully transformed into the “the world's most joyful museum” it had aspired to be.

The museum itself was co-designed with children and young people from the local community. The lighting is also a result of co-design with ZTA.70.Mains Track in the ceilings tailor made to the new Play, Imagine and Design galleries.

More ZTA.50 and ZTA.70, amongst other spot lights, were chosen for entranceways, stairways, café and the Town Square; the central area of the museum ground floor.
