We were delighted to get involved with Michael Grubb Studio’s latest project. This time in Brighton (UK).
Adding to the interesting palette of colours and textures, we supplied bespoke wayfinding catenary luminaires that are a prominent part of the exterior lighting design. Having first received the enquiry back in 2015, Michael Grubb Studio were busy with architects shedkm and landscape architects J&L Gibbons to develop this environmentally conscious and vibrant masterplan at Circus Street Brighton.
We worked closely with Stoane Lighting to design and deliver the feature catenary lights for Circus Street. Stoane Lighting were a pleasure to work with, offering great technical support throughout the design process - it was never going to be easy designing a catenary system between multiple buildings that had yet to be built, but that's exactly what we managed to achieve.
In addition to the support throughout, the quality of manufacture and final delivery was exactly what was needed. The client and the local community are delighted with the final scheme, as are we. The catenary is an iconic part of the lighting design both during the day and night, providing successful gateways throughout this brilliant development.
