Like every Stoane Lighting product, they are built by hand with longevity in mind, to last far beyond the typical lifespan of most lighting products.

Every ZTA product is designed to be future-proof. As far as possible, it has been engineered to avoid component obsolescence. With multiple fixing holes for future light sources and ample leeway with mechanical space for thermal management, ZTA can be upgraded easily as new technologies emerge.

Sustainability at the core

With sustainability at the forefront of its development, ZTA offers both high performance and minimal environmental impact. From our custom aluminium extrusion containing 70-90% recycled content and sourced as close to HQ as possible, to renewable energy to run our machines, sustainability is considered at every stage. Each element of the product is crafted for easy maintenance, repair, and disassembly at the end of serviceable life.

For every product, circularity is scored using TM66 and efforts to lower embodied carbon is measured using TM65.2. We have implemented carbon reduction using verified improvements in component design, manufacture and local sourcing. LCA and EPD are also possible

Closing the loop on circularity

In our mission to demonstrate significant steps forward in responsible luminaire manufacturing, we have revisited arguably the most ubiquitous luminaire: the downlight.

Designed with purpose, LI.DL is the result of our team seeking better ways to make the best equipment possible whilst doing the least harm. It is recast in our in-house forge from unavoidable workshop offcuts.

As a minimum, all of our aluminium waste is dutifully collected and sent for recycling. With our innovative use of one of the oldest known metalworking processes, traditional recycling can be an avoidable journey and a seized opportunity.

Using renewable energy and without sacrificing quality, we've successfully reformed our waste aluminium into new products with sandcasting and gravity die casting techniques. Already, some products and components in our range benefit from this process. But to fully capitalise on the opportunity, we needed a solution with scale.

By pairing our forging technique with practical, high-quality engineering, the LI.DL was born: a product designed to reduce waste while delivering exceptional performance.
