Over the years we have been fortunate enough to work on a number of galleries within the V&A. In this instance we were asked, in addition to low voltage low profile track spots and show case lighting, to produce 23 x Ø2.2m pendants and 2 x Ø7m pendants. Special consideration had to be given to sight lines and glare whilst delivering a luminaire that provided technical lighting sympathetic to the aesthetic and conservation requirements of the space. Minimal fixings and a specialist paint meant delivering the Ø2.2m pendants fully assembled. Restricted doorways meant that careful coordination on packing and delivery were required with the installers. Similarly, coordinating the design and installation of the discreet first fix suspensions.
