St Giles' Cathedral

Back to bespoke

Between 1999 and 2008 we worked closely with DPA Lighting and the wider design team to develop a number of bespoke items, the most involved being these chandeliers.

Incorporating multiple circuits running AR111 halogen uplighters, MR16 spotlights and discreet emergency down lighting. The fittings were custom built from top to bottom; from the cantilevered mounting brackets, the suspension wires and polished st. steel cable conduit, to the sand-cast, hand polished spines, and the hand-cut and welded woven steel mesh. Everything was bespoke and hand-made to match the architecture of the cathedral.

St Giles’ Cathedral is located right at the heart of Edinburgh and well worth a visit if ever you are passing.
